With the definitive edition I want to play more of this old game.
One problem I've always had is how to chat only to allies or everyone.
It's unclear to me where the default Enter chat goes to, it seems everyone.
How can this be specified?

How to message all aoe2?
You can also chat to all from the normal chat window (which you open by pressing Enter ) by adding a * in front of your message. (e.g: *Hi everyone ). The following prefixes are available: ; Chat to allies (Default in team game)How to chat to all in age of empires 4?
In AoE4, simply a pressing enter key opens a dialog to chat available in teammates only. Required shift keys pressings before enter keys to speak to players in a gaming session. Press Ctrl + shift to chat with all.Can you chat on Forge of Empires?
