Can not find entrance to Korvanjund during the quest "The Jagged Crown"

So I started the civil war quests a while ago and never finished them because they were time consuming and quite boring to be honest. I am in the imperial legion. So for I while I stopped but then I started doing it again. Currently, I am on the quest, The Jagged Crown, which takes place in Korvanjund. I'm supposed to follow legate Rikke and another one of her companions, but there is no entrance. I simply cannot find it. Here is what I did-

I selected the mission and fast-traveled to korvanjund.
I killed the three bandits waiting there for me
I entered the top door and saw legate Rikke and her companion.
I looked around the small room and after I saw a walkthrough, the entrance

after I went inside the main door was caved in with rocks and roots. So I left the room to go outside and went back in. It was still blocked off with no entrance. So then I waited a few hours and legate Rikke had somehow found a way in when I was waiting and I have no clue what to do to get in. I'm not sure if I did a previous quest that caved it in or I didn't do something right.

Where is the entrance to Korvanjund?

You can find it by traveling north-east of Whiterun. Outside, before you enter, you will encounter some Imperials which you can sneak attack. Upon entering the temple, you will find a cooking pot, some sleeping bags and a chest on your right.

How do you open the gate in the Jagged Crown quest?

To open the metal gate blocking your path, find the hall on the right side of the room and take the stairs leading to a walkway around the upper level of the room. Take the bridge across the room to an alcove with a chest in it; the handle that opens the gate is on the left side of the wall near the end of the bridge.

How do you open the door in Korvanjund?

Sometimes the door to the crypt cannot be opened.

Resolved by saving and reloading.

After leaving the crypt and proceeding back to Korvanjund, if you raise the bar, then quickly lower it and open the door it will work.

How do I get to Korvanjund without quest?

You can not enter Korvanjund without siding with some faction in the civil war. That means either joining the Stormcloaks or the Imperials is your only way to get that Word of Power.
