When does Navi say "Try to keep moving"? - You Are Not Alone Quote Board on Brown Wooden Frame

Whilst looking in a text dump of the game, I saw this line:

<Player Name>...

Try to keep moving!!

I definitely remember Navi saying this but I can't remember the in-game situation when. Anybody know?

This is just Navi's default advice when she doesn't have any useful advice to give. I believe she says it a lot in dungeons, since her usual advice on the overworld is "Here's where to go to advance the plot".

Why does Navi leave at the end of Ocarina of Time?

The Deku Tree created her for the purpose of assisting Link in his quest, and when Link placed the Master Sword back into the pedestal at the end of the game, that purpose was completed. That's why Navi flew out the window and left Link behind: she couldn't bear the thought of Link seeing her die.

How do you trigger Navi in Ocarina of Time?

  • Get on the edge of a body of water that has a ledge you can walk off.
  • Lure an enemy towards the ledge, or locate an object you can target near the ledge that brings up the Navi icon.
  • Backwalk off the ledge and jumpslash.
  • Immediately target the enemy or object and talk to Navi.
