I have a random status effect on my character.

I looked up the status effect symbols for Dark Souls Remastered, but the wiki doesn't have it. For reference, even if I remove all armor, rings, and weapons, it persists. Otherwise, I wear Marvelous Chester's set, and use a +15 Iaito, a +10 Fire Gargoyle's Halberd, the Grass Crest Shield, Havel's Ring, and the Ring of Steel Protection.

What does the yellow arrow mean in dark Souls?

Big yellow up arrow: ring of favor and protection buff. Shield with green up arrow: resistance buff.

How does weight work in Dark Souls?

Weight applies to all types of worn items, such as weapons, armor and shields. The heavier an item is, the more it encumbers the player. Weapons with a higher weight value tend to have a slower swing speed, and heavier armor pieces tend to have more defense and Poise while reducing stamina regeneration.
