Target lock/release on XBox 360 controller

Target lock/release on XBox 360 controller - Led Game Controller on Table

I just started playing Dark Souls 3 on PC. I get it's meant to be played on gamepad, so I grabbed my X360.

But I can't figure out which button is used for target lock/release. It says R, with an arrow above it pointing down. I tried RB and RT but obviously it's not it. So which button shouls I use?

How do you remove the trigger from an Xbox 360 controller?

Using your thumb and forefinger, push the left trigger toward the right side of the controller. Simultaneously push the trigger control arm in the opposite direction. The trigger has a peg that fits into a slot in the trigger arm. Be sure to push far enough so that the peg clears the slot.

R3 (PS) / Right Stick (Xbox):
  • Target Lock/Unlock (Click to do this)
  • You can flick the R stick in a direction towards an enemy to change targets without unlocking.
