Tagging a class with no Awakening weapon on release

Since the new class, Sage will be released on EU / NA today and I have never tagged a character before, I was wondering the following:

Sage will release without an Awakening weapon - how does this affect tagging him?
Most likely he will receive his Awakening weapon later. Can I just tag the weapon when it's released or do I need to tag my whole gear again this time with his AWK Weapon?
How does not having an Awakening weapon affect his damage in Succession?

I'm playing on PC.

Tag Characters allows you to link another character to your main character so that they travel together and optionally share gear.

Does awakening weapon AP affect succession?

I saw in a post from the grumpy site that \u201c...Awakening weapons adds 30% damage to succession...\u201d and vice versa.

How do you get awakened weapons in BDO?

Canon Awakening Weapon is given as a reward during the Awakening Weapon quest line. It is located toward the middle or end of the Awakening quest line, right before you have a tutorial and have to demonstrate a few Awakening skills.
