Pokemon Go Supported Devices

I have a Verizon Ellipsis 8 tablet, and I was wondering: should I be able to run Pokemon Go on it?
Each time I try to open up the app, it loads about 3/4 of the way and then it crashes. I have the newest software downloaded for it and I have tried a bunch of other things.
Any help would be appreciated.

- iOS 10 & 11 - Support Article
- iPhone 5s & 6 - Support Article
- Apple Watch - Support Article
As of writing, the currently supported technical specifications are below. (See Niantic's Supported Devices Page for the latest):
Android
- Android 6 or above
- Preferred resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels (not optimized for tablet)
- Strong internet connection (Wi-Fi, 3G, or 4G)
- GPS and Location Services
- Rooted devices are not supported
iOS
- iPhone 6s or above
- iOS 12 or above

What does this mean for your device?
While Pokemon Go now supports Intel-based processors, your Verizon Ellipsis 8 is no longer supported - the highest available Android OS that your phone supports is 5.1. You will need to get a newer device if you wish to continue to play Pokemon Go.
