Playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Gwent only

I want to play all Gwent matches in The Witcher 3 without going through the whole game. Is this possible?

The expansions and the DLCs have introduced lots of new cards and matches so I was wondering if there is a way in game to go through all matches one by one to unlock cards and play against the opponents you meet during the game.

A mod to the game that does that is also fine if the game doesn't support that natively.

No, there is no way to do this in-game or with any mod. You can not skip the story and do an only Gwent run.

There is also no Gwent speedrun category, so the information for the fastest way to get to all of the Gwent NPC's is going to be really hard to find.

How do I play Gwent in the wild hunt Witcher 3?

Witcher 3: How to Play Gwent

Each deck must contain at least 22 Unit cards.

Before each match, you randomly draw 10 cards from your deck.

You can re-draw (mulligan) two cards prior to the start of the game.

Each game contains three rounds.

The first player to win two rounds wins the game.

Can you beat Witcher 3 without playing Gwent?

I really enjoy a good game of Gwent. But you don't need to play it in order to advance in the game. Sure you can use for some coin or some fun but you can finish the game without playing it.

Is it possible to win high stakes Gwent?

It turns out basically the only way you can beat him is if you are lucky enough to get a Torrential Rain card, as he will go all out on his siege cards in the last round. Also, don't put any siege cards in your own deck as he uses the leader card which destroys them all.

Can you play Witcher without Gwent?

Without playing gwent you won't be able to complete the quest with tournament in "Passiflora" - there is a high prize and additional sex scene. I didnt play it in my first playthrough but I did in the second one. You don't have to win the tournament to complete the quest, afaik.
