Minecraft Command Block Problem

Minecraft Command Block Problem - Back view of faceless multiracial friends with backpacks blocking way for Latin American classmate

I have an alarming and one annoying Minecraft 1.8.8 command that is to summon a item in a chest with another command of [CanPlaceOn]. This "[CanPlaceOn]" command is a command that allow certain things (blocks) to be placed on certain blocks! So when I am in adventure mode I can place the block that has the NBT tag of CanPlaceOn on a certain block. It would be helpful if someone could please provide the command for summoning a button in a chest that has the NBT CanPlaceOn tag.

I figured it out myself! If you want to do this type

/summon FallingSand ~ ~20 ~ {TileID:54,Time:1,TileEntityData:{Items:[{id:143,Count:1,tag:{CanPlaceOn:["minecraft:stonebrick"]}}]}}

This will summon a chest with a button in it!

Why is my command block not working in Minecraft?

You may find that the commands you are trying to have the command block execute are not working. This may be due to the certain limitations the block has on what commands it can run successfully. Command Blocks will execute commands with an OP level 2 permissions.

Can command blocks be broken?

The interesting thing about command blocks is that they cannot be destroyed by fire, and they have the same blast resistance as bedrock. They also cannot be broken in either survival or creator mode unless the host or operator grants permission.

How do you get command blocks to work?

To activate the command block, just activate the redstone device that is attached to the command block. In this example, the redstone device is a lever. So you would activate the command block by toggling the lever.
