Mid to Late Game Doldrums
I'm on my 6th run in Kittens Game and I keep hitting an Eludium wall and wondering if I just need to sit around and wait for a long while or reset. I guess I'm asking when is the most prudent time to reset at this stage.
For a view of where I'm at, I can easily get Advanced Exogeology, Thorium, and all of the Scientific advances that don't require exotic materials (i.e. relics, time crystals). I have reached Sky Palace twice but Alicorn generation rate is still so slow that it's not very practical. I've about 220 kittens and am a few hours from launching a ship to Helios. Is the game just a grind for rare resources at this point, or is there any particular strategy that I'm missing?

The first time I got to Eludium, I saved up for Microwarp Reactors, and concentrated on building Lunar Outposts, which require Planet Crackers. Things got better after Microwarp Reactors and the Planet Busters upgrade. I had been playing with Ziggurats, Unicorns, and Tears on the side, and had about 30 Ziggurats. By about this time I got my first few time crystals. Once I built a Chronosphere or maybe two, I reset without really understanding what I was getting into.
With the Chronosphere bonus, it took just a few days to get back to the Eludium wall. So at this point I'm doing runs that last a week. I'm concentrating on getting enough Paragon to buy the right Metaphysics upgrades, while optimizing my Time Crystal production.

Now I've gone through the various challenges. I've collected atheism, 1,000 years, anarchy, winter, and black sky (not in that order). And I'm still stalled waiting for unicorns, antimatter, relics, void, and eludium.
My reactors and factories bottleneck on my titanium storage. To increase storage I need unobtanium, eludium, or antimatter. I can slowly increase the number of blueprints I have, and then buy ziggurats and magnetos and steamworks; but that's getting slower and slower to grind as well.
Mostly I seem to be waiting for 5,000 alicorns. Once I get them, I can get 1,000 time crystals to replenish my supply. I can burn some of those to get 5,000 antimatter. I can then build space beacons and collect more relics, and then finally see what I can do at that point in the game.
