Is Cube World dead? [closed]

do you remember CubeWorld and the hype around it... To end as said as it did. Do you know if it's still in work, if it will ever be finished? Has anyone been able to make contact with the developer?

If you check the developer's, Wolfram von Funck, Twitter page, his last post was on April 19. Seeing as he and his wife are the only people behind the game, I think they're just working at their own pace. Development still seems to be going on, so No, the game is not dead. The shop on Picroma has been closed for a few years, however, so there is currently no *legal* way to get the game.

Is Cube World playable?

The website hosting the game went down. Rather than beefing up his servers, Funck went on to stop selling the game altogether. He seemed spooked by the reception, especially since the load on the website seemed to come from a DDoS attack.

What happened to the developer of Cube World?

Important Note: The Cube World shop is currently offline indefinitely. This was done by the developer after repeated denial of service attacks on the Cube World servers. There's no official way to get the Cube World download until the shop is online again.
