How did this happen? How can you infest a terran base this way? Or does it happen automatically, when creep spreads under it?

How do I make infest terran buildings in Starcraft 2?

You must find a Terran Command Center, then damage it so it has red health. At this point, use the Queen to Infest it. After a short time, you will gain control of the Infested Command Center and be able to produce Infested Terran. The Infested Command Center has 1,500 health.

Why did they remove infested Terran?

By taking out infested terrans Blizzard is not just substantially weakening zerg's anti air - they are also weakening zerg's harass, and zerg's ability to push into fortified positions. The replacement spell is garbage for several reasons - especially vs protoss.

An infested terran is created when a terran is infected with the zerg hyper-evolutionary virus. The victim usually loses most of their intelligence and sanity, as their mind becomes consumed by the zerg.
