How to enter SWTOR's Flashpoint "The Esseles" in Veteran mode?
My friend and I are starting a playthrough of SWTOR. We've done the Flashpoint "The Esseles" on Story Mode a few times now, and wanted to try it on Veteran Mode. However, whatever we try, we always end up in a Story Mode version.
The steps we take:
- Group up freshly
- Start conversation to pick up the quest
- Both choose "Veteran Mode" when the options in the chat wheel pop up
- Both make sure the "Mission Difficulty Preference" is set to "Veteran"
- Make sure the instance phase has been reset, to prevent old instances from troubling us
- Run into the instance
However:
- The result: we get thrown into a Story Mode flashpoint, and a related Story Mode quest pops up
- Expected: starting the Veteran Mode flashpoint

You can only complete each Flashpoint in solo mode, only one time, per character. You must have the Mission "Prelude to Shadow of Revan" in order to access solo mode. You get this Mission from a terminal on your ship. As a part of solo mode, you must enter the Flashpoint directly, you cannot use Group Finder.How do I start Esseles Flashpoint?
The flashpoint starts with you on board the transport bound for Coruscant. You start off talking to a passenger. She expresses concern about the Sith dreadnaught following the transport. If you just want to run the flashpoint and then never talk to the community again, go to the telos/white nova. abandon the meridian quest from your log. Pick the story mode meridian quest from the terminal outside the phase entrance and walk in.How to Join Your First Operation in SWTOR
