I want to craft more Magic Keys, but although the other ingredient (Screamroot) is available from several quests as a potential drop, there is no location given for farming fine alcrysts.

Is the only choice to get them thru King Mog events etc., or are they farmable after advancing the story past a certain point? (or any other way, such as the Vortex missions)

How do I get fine Alcryst FFBE?

You get Fine Alcryst from synthesis. For every successful creation, there is a 20% chance you get a Fine Alcryst. You can get both Screamroots and Fine Alcrysts from getting Trophies, but due to its nature, it's not a method of farming; they're one-time rewards.

How do you get a magic key in FFBE?

First complete Grandshelt Castle - Throne Room to obtain the recipe for a Magic Key....After obtaining the recipe:
  • On the home screen, tap Synthesize.
  • Tap craft.
  • Scroll down to the Magic Key recipe. To craft a Magic Key, one must have 3 Fine Alcryst and 3 Screamroot.
