How do I change the font size of small text in OpenTTD? - Written text with black words on rectangular shaped paper sheet with square ornament in daylight

I'm playing OpenTTD on a 2560x1440 monitor and the text on labels (when zoomed out) and maps are incredibly small, using letters that are only about 5 pixels in height:

The text is so tiny that it's starting to strain my eyes. How can I make it bigger?

How do I change font size in Openttd?

  • Edit openttd.cfg file and edit the value of "large_size/medium_size/small_size"
  • Open console, and type "set zoom_min 0" (or you can find Zoom min. in the Setting menu > Interface). Then you can make font size 2x, or 4x in the Game setting menu.
