How can I spawn a falling block moving toward where I'm looking?

I mean if a falling block (the entity) can be spawned but with a motion assigned to the front of where I'm looking:
Example: I'm looking to the direction 90 ( ~x ~y ~z looking: 90 ~
) then the block will launch to those coordinates. Any idea how to make it go in more directions?

What is the command to summon a falling block?
If cheats are enabled, falling block entities can be spawned using the command /summon . By tweaking the BlockState NBT tag, it is possible to summon a falling block entity that normally does not fall as a block, such as dirt or stone, although it has the same behavior as a naturally spawned falling block. Is there a locate block command in Minecraft?
Let's say you're lost in the Nether and need to find your Nether Portal, you could type : /locateblock obsidian, and get the coordinates for the nearest obsidian, most likely being your, said, Portal.Moving Blocks in Minecraft | Passengers, Falling Blocks
