I finished the Color Dungeon and picked the red mail so I could do more damage, but now I am wondering if I made the right choice. Can I go back and switch for the blue, to have more defense? Or am I stuck with my choice?

If I go back, do I have to do the dungeon again? It was super hard, so I don't want to risk it if it doesn't get me anything.

How to defeat the Color Dungeon Boss, Hardhit Beetle: It turns out that the key to defeating Hardhit Beetle was to repeatedly hit it with the weapon of Link's choice and change the color of its shell. The more Link slashed at it, the more damaged the shell became, as it gradually changed color to red.
